In 1981-1985 Amir served as a budget examiner in the budget department of the Tel Aviv municipality.

Internship – Herzog, Fox, Neeman Law offices , 1988-1986.

Until 1998 Amir was a partner in the firm of Menachem Berger & Co., headed by Menachem Berger, former chairman of the Israel Bar Association.

From 1998 Amir was the owner and manager of Amir Berger Law Offices.

Since the beginning of 2008, Amir has been a senior partner in the firm of Avraham Neeman.
